Rural Community Connections Specialist
Kaitlyn skaitlynn-bryan-092613tarted working for The Ability Center first as an intern with the Social Work program at a local college, and then was hired on part time. As time went on she became full time and her job duties expanded. Before working at The Ability Center, Kaitlyn was a student studying Social Work at Northwest State Community College. She has her associates degree in Applied Science, majoring in Human Services, (social work) and also has business management and accounting coursework experience.
Kaitlyn chose to work at ACT because she truly believes in independence. After watching a close family member be denied opportunities time and time again, based solely on his disability, she knew something had to change. She shares, “I knew there had to be a place, just like this one, that saw the ability in an individual and expanded on that. I am grateful for the opportunity we have here to truly change our communities and I can honestly say I love my job!”
