More than programs, our mission is a promise to keep people thriving in their community. We were honored to recently fulfill this promise to a local veteran.
Boyd C. entered the service one day before his 20th birthday. A medic who fought during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, Boyd spent three years overseas before settling in Bowling Green where he raised three loving sons with his late wife. After experiencing some health issues, his family searched for options to get Boyd back to doing what he loves and creating memories with family and friends.
“Thank you for the chair, it does wonders for me. Otherwise, I wouldn't get out at all. That chair lets me ride through the park in the afternoon again. I am so fortunate. Can't tell you fortunate I am to have my family.” shares Boyd.
