Nursing Home Transition
Rex entered Bowling Green Manor on October 29, 2016 following health-related issues. He quickly realized life in a facility did not bring him the same opportunities living independently in his home that he has shared with his wife for 19 years. Anxious to get back to his normal routine, Rex educated and advocated for himself and others on the importance of community-based living.
Robert Moody’s first call to The Ability Center was in search of a ramp through our Home Accessibility Program. It was only after an Ability Center donor requested to fund a ramp project for a veteran that we found Robert had entered a nursing facility soon after applying for the Home Accessibility Program. It was then discovered that he had been in the facility for over three months, qualifying him for our Nursing Home Transition Program.
