In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Ability Center is hosting two virtual information sessions on best practices from a city and regional level to make our area more inclusive and disability friendly.

Both of the opportunities will be offered virtually through Zoom. All webinars will be recorded. ASL and CART services available.

Best Practices for Implementing the ADA - Local Legislator Title II Training

Meg Conger HeadshotMeg Conger, Director of ADA Compliance at the City of Kansas City, Missouri will lead an interactive discussion about best practices in implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act in local government. Originally tasked with bringing Kansas City into compliance with a settlement from the Department of Justice, Ms. Conger is in charge of creating policies to ensure that all Kansas City facilities, policies, and employment practices are ADA Compliant.
