A PLACE TO PLAY

Volunteer teams built 31 custom playhouses for local children through Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Project Playhouse. One was built with love by employees of RMF Nooter, Inc. who brought accessible play right to the backyard of a little girl named Joanna. Nate Reid, Development Manager at Habitat for Humanity, shares, “The Ability Center not only helped us put together a modification that would be wheelchair accessible, but they also encouraged a family to apply for a playhouse. By developing a playhouse design for Joanna, we are now readily able to build playhouses for other children who use wheelchairs.”
