A new elevator has been installed at Stone Oak Country club thanks to the awareness and diligent work by members of the Auxiliary to The Ability Center and recommendations from our staff.
The elevator will be used by members and guests at the club and will create a safer and more welcoming space for all. Our Auxiliary has hosted many events at the location in the past and is happy with the new accessibility features, “This much needed improvement will provide easier and safer access for all members and guests to activities and facilities on the second floor. This is such exciting news,” shares Gwen Ames, president of the Auxiliary to The Ability Center.
The elevator is located near the pro shop close to the accessible parking spots, with easy access to the dining area space.
Initiative shown by local business to become more accessible is proof we are one step closer to becoming a more disability-friendly community.
