Next Steps Summer Program

The Auxiliary supported transportation costs, business clothing, and recreational activities during the time they are living and learning at the University of Toledo.

Assistance Dogs

Money donated purchased one mini-modular puppy playground will provide enrichment experiences for our puppies that are starting their training. Also, included is sponsorship of another puppy which is starting its journey to becoming a service or therapy dog.

Home Accessibility

Benefited one-time emergency assistance for funds towards purchases of disability-related equipment that will increase or maintain one’s independence. items such as grab bars, raised toilet seats, shower seats or handheld shower heads to help those with disabilities to live safer and easier at home. Purchase of an aluminum ramp for a child, increasing their independence.

College Scholarships for Students with Disabilities

The Auxiliary has assisted The Ability Center in providing scholarships to students pursuing college degrees since 2008. This year $10,000 will be awarded to students.
