The Auxiliary, which was organized in 1936, was re-established in 1984. The major fundraising event takes place in the fall, an annual Style Show. Proceeds from this annual event are used by The Ability Center to support the Nursing Home Transitions Program, Children’s Holiday Party and The Scholarship Fund. The Auxiliary also supports the Equipment Loan Program, Portable Ramps, Next Steps Summer Program, and Assistance Dogs for Achieving Independence. In addition to the Style Show, the Auxiliary schedules three luncheon meetings with guest speakers, our closing luncheon, and special events.
