We develop educational materials and provide critical input to policy makers, governmental bodies and businesses. We work to further advance the goals of Olmstead, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act and other Civil Rights protections. We diligently strive to improve the…“what is” to “what should be”…and we educate and empower stakeholders to promote policies, rules, regulations and services that embody the Independent Living Philosophy.
Community Access focuses on the accessibility of State and Local Governments as well as Public Accommodations; known as Title II + Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
State and Local Government (Title II)
Our State and Local Government initiatives focus on ensuring that all programs, services and activities provided by a jurisdiction are accessible to, and usable by, people with disabilities.
Public Accommodations (Title III)
Our Public Accommodations initiatives focus on ensuring full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, and facilities available to the public. Examples include ensuring access to places of lodging (such as inns and hotels), restaurants, bars, theaters, grocery stores, rental establishments, amusement parks, day care centers etc.
