Kimberly Danes, MOL, CFRE
Director of Development
Growing up on the Portage River in Elmore, Kimberly came from farming roots in Ottawa County, where most of her relatives still reside. After spending over a decade in manufacturing, she became involved in the nonprofit world through volunteering, then as a profession. Fundraising ignited her passion for helping others, and she found that The Ability Center was an organization that was seeking a leader to enhance their existing team.
With a Master’s degree in organizational leadership from Lourdes University, and a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Toledo, Kimberly lives in Perrysburg, and enjoys traveling all over the world. She has two children, a son in Chicago working as a chemical engineer, and a daughter in Quito, Ecuador, teaching English. A pianist since age 5, and a church organist since age 14, music is one of her hobbies, along with knitting, ballroom dancing, and playing poker.
