A booth full of friends at Ralphie's
The goal of this program is to bring together individuals with and without disabilities who have common interests, people who truly want to get more involved in the community and who wish to increase their social network. Connections are developed by choice, through mutual expectations.
What does the Mentor Program expect of Mentors?
Every situation is different but we hope that Mentors will be in contact with their Mentees, at least, weekly. This contact can be in person or via phone conversation, email, or even text messaging. It’s all about communication and connections. We are not looking for a “volunteer” as much as we are looking for sincere connections with opportunities for real friendships to form and the dedication needed to assist individuals with achieving goals.
We ask that the Mentor also be available for at least one organized monthly event in the community. We offer up to three activities per month.

What does the Mentor Program expect of Mentees?
We are looking for individuals living with disabilities who are seriously interested in exploring community-based opportunities, exploring talents and skills and challenging themselves with new experiences by creating a goal which a Mentor can guide them in achieving.
