Youth and Independent Living Services - the department's Camp Cricket is a summer day camp for children with and without disabilities. Its Youth Transition Services assists teens in making the transition from high school to adult life, including career and post-secondary education choices. The department also assists youth in securing the skills and tools needed to maintain an independent lifestyle by providing such training as basic computer skills and community living transition assistance. Knowledgeable and experienced staff also provide educational advocacy for children with disabilities in local school systems.
