Lucas County Commissioners Seek Applicant for Vacancy on the Commission on Disabilities

The Board of Lucas County Commissioners is currently seeking applicants with disabilities and other interested persons representing the larger disability community for one county vacancy in Eastern Lucas County, including the Village of Harbor View, Jerusalem Township, and the City of Oregon. The Eastern Lucas County vacancy is a two-year term that would expire in 2018.

The Toledo/Lucas County Commission on Disabilities is a 21-member commission comprised of a coalition of individuals with disabilities as well as other interested persons representing the larger disability community. The Commission is charged with working together to create opportunities and to coordinate resources that will promote full participation of people with disabilities within the community. Membership is equally presented by all jurisdictions in Lucas County and of its 21-member composition, at least 8 of the seats must be held by individuals or family members of individuals with disabilities.Applicants must fill out the Disability Commission application. A detailed resume must be enclosed with the completed application form.

A printable and fill-in PDF version of the application is also available on the Lucas County Commissioners’ website.

Applications for the above-listed board vacancy will be accepted through the end of the business day (4:30 P.M.) on Friday, May 27, 2016.
