Jack PerionDirector of Finance

Jack PerionAfter living in many different areas on the country, my family settled in Dundee, Michigan when I was in middle school. I come from a large family and parents that taught us a strong work ethic and community involvement. After high school I graduated from Siena Heights College.

I have more than 25 years of accounting experience. I have spent the last thirteen years at a child welfare non-profit agency in Michigan. I look forward to becoming part of the ACT team and serving the community.

Elaine GabalacAccounting and Payroll Coordinator

Elaine GabalacWhile not a Toledo native, I was raised in the Midwest on the shores of Lake Michigan and appreciate the strong sense of community I’ve experienced in both places. After finishing my Business degree at the University of Toledo, I began working at The Ability Center a year ago in an effort to support an organization whose mission involved creating positive change in the lives of others.

In the short time I’ve worked here, I have discovered how that change affects us all, especially in the creation of a more inclusive world. We all learn to persevere, to accept ourselves wholly and build a creative vision of the future, which leads to very real progress.

My job at The Ability Center focuses primarily on the everyday business at hand such as processing payroll, various grants and billings. I enjoy supporting the Director of Finance as she works to manage all aspects concerned with keeping the organization fiscally responsible and hope to continue contributing long into the future.
