ACT Participates in City Clean-Up Program

Wildwood Clean-Up Crew

Wildwood Clean-Up Crew

As part of our obligation for receiving CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) monies, ACT participates twice a year in the CDBG Clean up program. The CDBG grant ACT receives helps us to build ramps free of charge to our consumers living in the City of Toledo who meet the financial eligibility guidelines. These ramps allow persons to easily access community, remaining independent while still living in their own homes. Through this obligation, ACT volunteers and staff clean a local park. This time, on Saturday September 26, we helped to clean Wildwood Metro Park.

There will be another clean up in April. It is a great way to give back to the community while working in a beautiful setting. If you would like to participate in the next clean up please email Angie Hiser at ahiser@abilitycenter.org.
